Abstract

Abstract submission is for

1) keynote presentations,
2) oral presentation by invited speakers and
3) electronic poster presentation by invited researchers only.
In case that you have substantial results and wish to submit them for abstract and E-poster, please send a request to amru.asiapacific@gmail.com.

Abstract submissions

The scientific program is by invitation only but presenters will have to submit an abstract to be considered in the proceedings. The invited presenters/speakers will present/speak at the following sessions:

  • Session 1: AMR emergence and spread in food animals in the Asia-Pacific Region: surveillance, molecular epidemiology and transmission dynamics.
  • Session 2: AMU monitoring and alternatives to antimicrobials for AMU reduction in food animals in the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Session 3: Bridging innovations and AMR mitigation in food animals.

Type of presentations

There are three different formats of presentations:

Keynote Presentation – Key experts with relevant research results related to each session will be invited by the scientific committee to submit their research abstracts and present their research findings (30 min).

Invited Oral Presentation – Outstanding researchers with relevant research results related to each session will be invited by the scientific committee to submit their research abstracts and present their research findings and insights (20 min).

Invited Electronic Poster (E-poster) Presentations – Researchers who have relevant research results according to each session will be invited by the scientific committee to submit their research abstract and present an E-poster. All E-Posters will be presented on the AMRU Asia Pacific 2023 platform.

Important notes for authors

  • The research studies should be pertinent to food animals in the Asia Pacific region. However, the authors may come from any part of the world.
  • For invited E-poster Presentation, information in abstracts should not have been previously published or presented.
  • Submissions must not promote a commercial product, process, or service.
  • Authors should comply with instructions and deadlines provided with the invited presentation.
  • All abstracts will appear in the book of abstracts.

Abstract preparation guideline

Important note: Use abstract template provided for abstract preparation.

Language: English

Fonts: Arial only

Abstract Title: max. 30 words (references not included). Use14 pt. Arial in capital and bold typing.

Author name: Use 14 pt. Arial in regular typing, each author’s preferred abbreviations and full family name ("P.A. Smith" for example). The name of the presenting author must be underlined, and the corresponding author is emphasized by an asterisk (*).

Affiliations: Use 12 pt. Arial in regular typing. Institution affiliations for each author are included.

Abstract Body:
Two formats of abstract body are accepted:

Format A. Descriptive abstract
Length max. 500 words, incl. numbers and symbols. No tables and images are allowed.
Format B. Full abstract.
This type of abstract includes introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, references and acknowledgements. The text must be divided into two columns and the entire abstract must not exceed “two pages”. No tables and images are allowed.

Abstract file format and name:

  • Abstract must be prepared in Microsoft Word Format (Microsoft Word version 2010 or higher).
  • Rename the template file with Abstract file name according to the following scheme “Family name of the corresponding author_abbreviation of first name.doc”. For example, “Smith_P.doc”.

Abstract submission guideline

  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically through the AMRU-Asia Pacific 2023 website only.
  • To submit an abstract, you must first register for the AMRU Asia Pacific conference.
  • Before you start abstract submission, you will be asked to fill and submit online Abstracts submitters’ declaration form.
  • During the abstract submission process, you will be asked to select the session into which your poster fits best. An abstract can be submitted for presentation in only one session. The Scientific Committee reserve the right to decide on the final allocation.
  • The submission period ends 15 January 2023 at 23.59 Bangkok time, Thailand (GMT+7).
  • No changes can be made to the submitted abstract after the submission.
